Well, he did have a tiny part in Awaydays, where The Rascals posed as Echo & The Bunnymen at the Cavern in Liverpool and played a Bunnymen song, All That Jazz. You can see that bit from the film here. Miles has three lines: “What do you reckon about that?”, “Oh yeah?” and “Listen, I’m going to have to get off, help the lads with the gear”. Inspiring. Anyway, Awaydays is a brilliant coming of age film with an amazing soundtrack featuring bands such as Ultravox, Joy Division and Wire. It’s one of my favourite films (it was based on Kevin Sampson’s eponymous novel), and I suggest you check it out.
